The Indian food industry is a hotbed of entrepreneurism. Rising incomes and the demand for convenience are quickly turning food truck businesses, pop-up restaurants, and organic food stores into profitable entrepreneurial endeavors. The Food Diplomacy Program (FDP) is strategically aimed at harnessing the region’s potential in the area of food entrepreneurship to advance business development and strengthen U.S.-India economic ties. FDP will strengthen the regional network of food business entrepreneurs to harness the economic power of food. In the long-run, FDP will serve as an integrated global networking platform of entrepreneurs, innovators and incubators in the food industry who, through new skills, knowledge, and partnerships, will boost prosperity in their communities and strengthen economic ties with the U.S.
